USA Rugby National Elite 8 Results 4/28/14
Congratulations to the West Chester University women's rugby team for defeating the University of New Mexico in their Elite 8 match on Sunday, April 27 in Marietta, Georgia. The Golden Rams will now advance to the Final Four in Stanford, California and compete against Penn State in the quarterfinal match to be held on Friday, May 9. Keep up the winning streak ladies!
Congratulations is also due to the University of North Carolina for a stellar season that culminated in a hard fought loss to American International College in the Elite 8 round in Bowling Green, Ohio on Sunday, April 27. Good luck next season ladies!

USA Rugby National Sweet 16 Results 4/27/14
Congratulations to all the Mason-Dixon Conference teams for hard fought matches in the first round of national playoffs. The conference showed its strength and depth on the national stage with two, almost three, of the teams advancing to the Elite 8 round. Both UNC and WCU won their respective matches on Saturday and will play Sunday for spots in the Final Four. JMU put up hard fight against Army, but unfortunately was not able to secure a win in the end. ECU was also able to hold their heads high having played a tough game against reigning champs Penn State.

West Chester University, University of North Carolina, James Madison University and East Carolina University have all received bids to participate in USA Rugby's National Tournament which will begin on April 26. Each team will be in a pool of four other teams from throughout the country. WCU will begin their pool play in Marietta, Georgia facing Georgia Tech. UNC will face off against Harvard in Bowling Green, Ohio. Both JMU and ECU will travel to Penn State for their respective matches: James Madison against Army and East Carolina against Penn State. Good luck Mason Dixon teams! Bring home some big wins!

West Chester Tops Princeton and Kutztown March 9, 2014
West Chester University's women's rugby squad topped visiting Princeton University, 38-14, inside John A. Farrell Stadium Friday night in a non-conference women's rugby contest. West Chester (6-3) has now won three of its last four, dating back to the fall portion of the schedule. The win avenges the Golden Rams' loss to fellow Ivy League school Harvard that opened the spring campaign. Arielle Gant scored three trys and Nicole Benedetti added a pair of trys to lead the Golden Rams' contingent. Sophia Schwab converted four trys as well.
